timeless wardrobe
2014 . 07 / Pop-up store
Mobile apparel store unit for Apparel Company SANYO SHOKAI was developed based on company's tagline “Timeless Work. Creating Authentic Goods”, which can be unlimitedly reused.
The idea envisions “bride's wardrobe”, an object for to keep important clothes inside units as it holds character similar to time machine which is inherited from mothers to daughters from time to time.
The store unit contains basic functions to open apparel stores such as showcases, hangings, and counter removable to anywhere. It formulates storefront by opening and pulling it self. Moreover by enabling to divide in parts, it is able to increase storefront areas, which can adapt to any scale whether large or small space based on each given situation.This proposal gives opportunity to reimagine general consumption cycle by not repeating scrap and built way of creating storefront space, but to mobilize it self.

2013.10 / Installation
Button city is an installation for 70th anniversary product of SANYO SHOKAI “100 Year Coat”, which have been exhibited around Japan since Tokyo Designers Week 2013. SANYO SHOKAI was founded during the war period and has been grown with the development of Tokyo city started up by raincoat production and towards general apparel maker. This installation was intended to present companies 70 years of its history of which accumulation of history and technologies until recent completion of 100 Year Coat.
Buttons is representative product, which illustrates the identity of SANYO SHOKAI. The elevated button, which is shown on the front-page of company history book, is a symbol of the company’s technologies and attitude towards creativity. Therefore this installation express its history and knowledge through accumulated 250 thousand buttons which draw out the cityscape of Tokyo.
The illustration of a moment buttons falling from sky captured scene behind the coat, which gives the visitors a touch of flatness and timeless space.
machizukuri library
2013.05 / Library
A small library space was created as an expansion space of Urban Design Center Kashiwa-no-ha which oversees the urban development and areal management of Kashiwa-no-ha area, Chiba Prefecture.
The library space was intended for citizens to think about his or her own town through readings of regional development.
The bookshelves and reading space were placed with short distance of wood decks, which would invite children and parents waiting for buses and trains planned to go through and stop by unintentionally.
The ambiguous boundaries raise opportunity for various different people to stay touch with knowledge of urban development with multi-sensible use as library space other than reading.

The idea of kitchen-oriented housing was thought out from a wife who is wonderful cooker and a husband who loves to eat. Special steel “Home Connector” were used to reduce structures such as columns and beams for realizing large hall with big kitchen counter along with dining tables.
The space not only functions for daily meals but also for friends and families to easily come over and to have variety exchange in and around the kitchen.
The large window facing the alley invites natural stable light from North and also the human shadow give vitality to surrounding urban-scape.

ie <press preview>
2012.02 / Installation
Design for Press Preview Venue for compression wear brand "ie": “ie” is new type of concept brand as apparel company deriving from emergence of fashion and hi-tech sports ware. The design were demanded to spatially express the new phase as company.
The lobby of main headquarter was chosen as venue and is a tranquil space with 600 mm×600 mm marble stone laid out on the floor. The concept was to reform the venue as if the space was transformed by bulging up the existing floors and walls.
Following existing spatial rules such as materials and floor layout, this design expresses the transformation and reborn notably by intentionally changing the existing space. Those bulged floors and walls are colored in brand green color and have turned into vibrant sports brand space.

Sante’ Solaire
2010.09 / Fitness studio
Interior design and Corporation Identity for a fitness studio: This concept derives from audio equalizer bar rising up and down to give space a vibrant movement graphically by expressing rhythm.
The key color orange was chosen from the image of the etymology of the store “Solaire =sun”, and color lines are transformed in to lines in phases developed rhythmically. Lighting tools and blinds follow the same rule by spatially unifying the design context.

2010.08 / Private House <renovation>
Renovation for used 2LDK(Two Rooms including Living Room and Dining Kitchen) apartment: The concept is to bringing in relaxing garden-like space inside apartment for activities such as having meals on the wood deck, and sleeping on turf grass. Plumbing equipment such as baths, toilets, kitchens are fold into small units and rest of the void was converted into non-limited function area that is singly connected.
For the finishing of the void space, outer materials were adopted which creates outer spatial experience within inner section. The outer like space enables the ease of natural wind and lighting, which will decrease the energy use.

2010.02 / Bar + Secondhand bookstore
Interior design for shop that abnormally fusions between Izakaya and used-book store: You can step in alone and read books while enjoining alcohols. Bookshelf inside the store is lined up with selected used books and you could buy the book when you like it.
The interior design using natural AKITA cedar creates “Warmth” and “Nostalgic” atmosphere where you would feel taboo “drinking in library”. The space is filled with playfulness such as entrance hidden within bookshelves.

2010.01 / Chiropractic clinic
Management program and interior design for Chiropractic Clinic which tends to be filled with posters: Posters with in the chiropractic clinic are all designed to be fit in “Picture fames” and hardware design such as counters, furniture, and walls are designed with motif of “Picture frames” which creates unity between interior design and store management.
Interior documents which tends to be chaotic were ruled in by “Picture frames” to maintain the store identity. “Picture frames” enables posters to visually look sharp similar effect to Chiropractic that fixes back those distorted body.

Interior design for bar “concept where you can drink while picking pickles”: You can keep bottles of vegetables pickles with your own choice, which enables enjoyment with your own soak length of time.
In order to create organic atmosphere as a bar, earth taste materials such as sand, wood, stones are used as spatial structures. Every material is expanded into strip which continues horizontally and vertically that transform into various functions like counters and display shelves.
By using the spatial character of the site where it is located in the underground descending down narrow steps, this space is intended to feel as if you were to dive into nest under earth.

Interior design for Japanese Restaurant in West Azabu: Focusing on metal beauty and history of beaten copper and steel pan used in restaurant, interior space totality set by steel materials was developed.
Historical accumulation by time lapse expressed in rust and erosion express the richness of space. As of pans loved and used for longtime by proprietress, this spatial pot is intended to be used and loved by customs forever.

Interior Design and Corporation Identity for French restaurant: With Parisian brasserie style such as marble stone floor and heavy wooden walls, given orders by pendant lightings and frames made modern arrangement. Red and golden two color tones give unity to space and black board hand written menus hanged on wall create warmth to space as an accent for familiar French style.
Inexpensive craft papers were used for graphic designed shop cards and leaflets with gold leaf cover which gives fine quality French taste.
Fine quality and affordable enjoyment are intentionally presented by its coexistence.

Interior Design and Corporation Identity for Chiropractic Clinic; There are some customers matters in such way of “Do not wanted to be seen when treated” or “Hard to get in because the inside is unseen”. In order to solve such two contradiction by customers of Chiropractic Clinic, the focus was to use “heat ray reflection film” which obtains both reflection and transparency.
In general, treatment room are set facing storefront in order to be seen from the streets. However by use of layered glass partition with heat ray reflection film, treatment room became ambiguous space with real and fiction vision.
By controlling sight gently by reflection and transparency, comfortableness by seen and unseen became possible at once.

Interior design for fitness gymnasium: This interior design for fitness gymnasium serves multiple training programs adapted to wide customers such as machine gymnasium, Yoga studio and golf simulators. Design are intended to smoothly over cross trainings and counseling adapting to every individual needs.
Material finishing by carpets, wood, textiles and gentle lightings create living like hotel lounge style with front edge training machines. This great gap enabled to create comfortableness, which enables to shift from top gear training stage to low gear relaxing mode.

This storefront proposal is intended to blend gentleness maintaining its brand identity. Chaotic placed furniture is measured under perspective principal. Numbers of perspectives are as much as numbers of brand and each perspective points are set to give uniform group for individual brand.
By walking through those deconstructed brands would lead to meet to next perspective point and to new brand. This storefront is coordinated as new method to create crossings among brands.
